Local Faves adds social elements to Drync that extend the user experience beyond the individual. • “From a technology perspective we can move much faster and more efficiently because we no longer have to worry about how to host and manage locality-based data. And from the userÕs point of view, this set of features will allow us to keep the user within the app and still have access and the ability to socialize this information. ItÕs a big win for us in terms of getting, community-based features into the app fast.”

    Dan Katcher
    Rocket Farm Studios
  • “Skyhook's SDK provides all the pages and functionality, making it very easy for developers to plug in these local and social features. Because of that and the fact that it's all free, it's a missed opportunity not to use this.”

    Greg Sterling,
    internet2go
  • “To all of this, we have to say "If you got it, use it." Why not add location when you can? Why keep location separate and quarantined for specific mobile apps and not others? We know we said we wouldn't be using Twitter's web-based location, but adding location to any and all mobile apps (as an opt-in feature, of course) seems like common sense.”

    Mike Melanson,
    Read Write Web
  • “@sbisson iPhone Developers can add location capabilities to any app with Skyhook's Local Faves. Useful.”
